KRADD Announces 2026 Scholarship Recipients
The Kentucky River Area Development District (KRADD) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarship awards, recognizing outstanding students across the region for their hard work, dedication, and future goals.
The Mayor Charles Long Scholarship was awarded to Addison Lindon of Wolfe County. The scholarship honors the legacy of Charles Long, a longtime KRADD board member and former mayor of Booneville. Long served as mayor for six decades and was recognized as the longest-serving mayor in Kentucky history.
The Jack Burchett Scholarship, awarded to students pursuing trade or technical education, was presented to Braden Tolson of Wolfe County. The scholarship reflects the importance of skilled trades and workforce development throughout the region.
The Candice Fields Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Shayla Riley of Perry County. This scholarship honors the memory of former KRADD employee Candice Fields, whose kindness, dedication, and impact continue to be remembered by those who knew and worked alongside her.
KRADD congratulates each of these students and wishes them continued success as they pursue their educational and career goals.
